“This garden border edging is pretty easy to work with. I cleaned out an area next to my back door and put landscape fabric down and then I used the spikes that this product came with to hold both the edging and the fabric down. The spikes are bendable a bit but still very strong, they all went into the ground well. I only had a small area where I wanted to create a border edge so I put all 5 of the solar light pieces and 3 of the plain pieces in this one row. I imagine if you had a longer walkway you would just face them out between the non-lighted pieces. I still need to put stones down on top of the fabric, but, I wanted to post this sooner than later. If I was gonna buy these again I would buy them in the White color because it would look better with my house, but this brown color still looks nice. I am very happy with the quality and thickness of this edging material. It is thick and seems like it would be durable. I’m leaving it up through the snowy winter and hoping it will fair well.”

“I’ve been wanting to replace the old railroad ties around our back porch area, so I was excited to give these a try. That area still needs a lot of TLC before we completely redo it, but I set up a couple of pieces to see how they’d look and I already liked the difference they made. The set includes 10 regular panels and 5 panels with holders for the solar lights. The lights are packaged separately and need to be attached with 2 tiny screws each. The tops of the panels are shaped like a classic wooden fence, although there aren’t any sharp points. The brown color gives the appearance of wood from a distance, although the wood grain texture is very subtle.The panels and stakes are made from a thick plastic material. The panels are flexible enough to create curves or even a circle if you wanted. They slide together easily, but I had a little trouble getting the top and bottom hinge pieces lined up at the same time so they would lock together. Once connected, though, they felt nice and secure.The panels measured around 7.25 inches tall. One thing he wasn’t a big fan of was how close the stakes are to the panels. It made it harder to get the angle he wanted with the mallet to really drive them into the ground.Our backyard is full of trees, so I was a little concerned the solar lights wouldn’t get enough sunlight to charge. When night came, I was honestly surprised by how much ground a single light illuminated! It gives off a warm glow that was much brighter than I expected.
